CELTIC CROSSES
A traditional Christian cross with a circle overlying the points where the lines meet, Celtic crosses have intrigued generations, and the symbol has been in use for centuries now.
Interestingly, Celtic crosses were carved into quite large slabs of rocks that lay flat on the ground. Almost all the later versions however, stand in an upright position. Modern Celtic crosses are often seen as tombstones in Irish churchyards. However, it's difficult to specify the exact meaning of the peculiar circle in Celtic crosses.
