Little Fire...

Aodhnait or the earlier form Ednat is the feminine version of the name Edá, which would later become Aodhá or Aidan. Edana is a more modern version of the feminine name.

St. Edana (also known as Edna and Eidyn) lived near the Boyle and Shannon Rivers in the sixth century. Her name given to her by St. Patrick translates to “little fire.”

She would eventually travel to Scotland and found a convent there. It is now believed that the capital of Scotland was named after this Irish nun. Edinburg or “Dún Édana” means “Edana’s castle” or “Edana’s fortress.”

Her feast day is celebrated on July 5. Most consider her the Saint of New Tuamia, in the diocess of Elphin, and also of Tuam. A holy well was named after her as well as other points in Western Ireland. She is often confused with Saint Modwenna, and some believe them to be the same person.

Service rating : Celtic Rings LTD had the perfect ring that fit my budget. I was initially hesitant to order such a spendy piece of jewelry online, but it showed up in a reasonable amount of time and is every bit as glorious as in the picture.

Unfortunately there's a small "artifact" or imperfection in the ring--the smallest bead of metal underneath one of the Celtic knots--but it's only visible under intense scrutiny. This is my first ring purchase, so I'm not sure if that's to be expected or not. At any rate, it makes it unique.

The only thing I wish the site had was an easier way to swap gemstones out for diamonds or vice versa (if possible), through a pull-down menu or something.

All in all, I'm quite happy with the experience.
Product : Small "artifact" or bead of metal on the underside of one of the knots. I'm not sure if this is normal, but the ring is not by all appearances flawless--though unique. It's not very visible, through.
