What makes this ring special...
This ring has two very important features combined to make an impeccable piece of jewelry - the infinity knot and the Gaelic name Aednat or Aidan for males, which means “little fire.”
The infinity knot is an important feature, not just from a Celtic history point of view but also because of its mathematical roots. When most people think of an infinity symbol, they think of something that lasts forever or has no end.
Most cultures have had their own ideas of what infinity is. For instance, the Ancient Greeks and Idians thought of it more as a philosophical debate before they had a clear understanding of mathematics. Although, it is believed that the first mathematical reasoning of the infinity meaning was discovered by a Greek, Zeno of Elea, between 490 BCE and 430 BCE.
Actual credit for the infinity symbol itself would not be given until 1655. John Wallis would come up with the symbol that is used today. Some believe his symbol came from the Roman symbol for 1,000, and others believe it was from the last letter in the Greek alphabet – omega (Ω).
Although this may have appeared at the time to be a new symbol, the Celts had used a similar symbol for many years prior. In their case, it would often appear as knots and interlace that would show up in artwork related to religious and war purposes. Here it would often appear as either two knots continually wrapping around one another to form multiple figure 8s or as a serpent eating itself.
This was just one version of the Celtic Eternity Knot, which is a knot with no beginning and no end. They were said to represent eternity and continuum of life.
What makes the infinity symbol and meaning have such an impact outside of their scientific representations is that it encompasses so much of other areas of life: physics, astronomy, art, life, and love. The concept of having no end is something that can be found in all parts of the world and beyond.

Service rating : I bought a replacement wedding ring for my husband after he lost the first one. After placing my order, I was contacted to confirm the ring size, and they patiently waited until I confirmed before making the ring. It turns out I had ordered the wrong size, so if they'd stuck with the original order, it wouldn't have been wearable. Amazing customer service.
Product : Great quality, seamless knot all the way around, and not too heavy, like some silver rings. A+++
